Besuch der ganz speziellen Art

Seit einiger Zeit habe ich mit einer Fotografin via Facebook Kontakt. Wir haben uns ab und zu geschrieben, und ich empfand den Menschen als sehr sympathisch. Es ergab sich ganz spontan, dass Doris (Fotografin) sich bei mir meldete und meinte, sie würde für ein Projekt nach Istanbul kommen, ob ich eventuell Zeit hätte, um uns zu treffen.

Ich konnte mir gut vorstellen, dass es zu einem Treffen kommen könnte, jedoch konnte ich nicht zu 100% zusagen. Der Grund ist, dass ich von meiner Agentur immer erst am Abend (zwischen 18:00 und 20:00 Uhr) das Programm für den nächsten Tag erhalte.

Glücklicherweise hatte ich an diesem Tag Zeit, an welchem Doris in Istanbul ankam. So begab ich mich auf den Weg zum Hotel, in welchem Doris einchecken würde.

Ich bin eigentlich etwas spät beim Hotel angekommen, jedoch hatte Doris Verspätung, da es am Flughafen länger gedauert hat. Also begab ich mich in die Lobby und wartete auf sie. Der nette Herr an der Rezeption bat mir einen Tee an, der mich vom kalten Wetter aufwärmen konnte, den ich dankend annahm.

Als Doris beim Hotel ankam, war sie sehr überrascht, mich zu sehen. Sie kannte mich bisher nur von Fotos aus dem Facebook und trotzdem hat sie mich aus der Entfernung und nur von der Seite erkannt... was mich sehr erstaunte.

Wir hatten uns von Anfang an gut verstanden und ich bewundere diesen Menschen sehr. Wir haben uns ein paar Mal während ihrem Aufenthalt in Istanbul getroffen und hatten viel Spass.

Visit of a very special kind

For some time I have been in contact with a photographer via Facebook. We wrote each other from time to time, and I found that person as very sympathetic. It occurred very spontaneously, that Doris (the photographer) got in touch with me and meant she would come to Istanbul for a project, if I eventually had time to meet up.

I could figure that it could come to a meeting; however I couldn't confirm it 100%. The reason is that I first get the program for the next day from my agency in the evening (between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm).

Luckily I had time this day that Doris arrived at Istanbul. So I got on the way to the hotel, in which Doris would check in.

I actually arrived with a slight delay at the hotel; however Doris was late as well, because it took longer at the airport. So I repaired to the lobby and waited for her. The nice gentleman at the reception offered me a tee that could warm me up from the cold weather, which I accepted in thanks.

As Doris arrived at the hotel, she was very surprised to see me. She has known me so far only from the photos from Facebook and yet she recognized me from the distance and just from seeing me from the side... which astonished me very much.

We got along well from the beginning and I admire this person very much. We met a couple of times during her stay in Istanbul and had a lot of fun.

Visita de un modo muy especial

Desde hace un tiempo tengo contacto con una fotógrafa vía Facebook. Nos hemos escrito de vez en cuando y yo percibí a esa persona como muy simpática. Se dio muy espontáneamente que Doris (fotógrafa) me escribió y quería decir que ella vendría a Estambul para un proyecto, que si yo tuviera eventualmente tiempo de encontrarnos.

Yo me podía imaginar que pudiera llegar a haber un encuentro pero no podía confirmarlo 100%. La razón es que yo siempre recibo de mi agencia apenas por la tarde/noche (18:00 h-20:00 h) el programa para el próximo día.

Afortunadamente tenía tiempo este día, en el cual Doris llegaba a Estambul. Así que me puse en marcha hacia el hotel en el cual Doris haría su estancia.

Yo en realidad llegué algo tarde al hotel, sin embargo Doris tenía retraso, ya que tomo más tiempo en el aeropuerto. Así que me dirigí hacia el lobby y esperé por ella. El amable señor de la recepción me ofreció un té, el cual me podía calentar del tiempo frío y que acepté agradecidamente.

Cuando Doris llegó al hotel estaba muy sorprendida de verme. Ella hasta entonces sólo me conocía de las fotos de Facebook y sin embargo me reconoció desde la distancia y sólo de lado... lo cual me asombró mucho.

Nos entendimos bien desde el principio y yo admiro mucho a esta persona. Nosotros nos encontramos un par de veces durante su estancia en Estambul y nos divertimos mucho.
